Again, a translator brought the text alive for me. Be grateful for whoever come “The Guest House” This being human is a guest house. If I could taste one sip of an answer, I could break out of this prison for drunks. I wanted to savor it like fine wine. He is one of the most revered Muslim poets, and with good reason.

Coleman Barks, a premiere Rumi translator, was among the poets interviewed I am Persian and so was he, although the comparison stops there. Good parts and bad parts. I was a bit challenged by the homoerotic content of that Calamus poems, but I handled it fine.

Of course, conversation about the deal didn’t end when the negotiators stepped away from the table. Coleman Barks’ translations are exquisite. And you ca one of my Goodfriends “Friends” has rated this book 2 stars and explains this by saying he thinks the translator has taken huge liberties with the original, Rumi, that is.
A head has one use: I will concentrate on a problem or eswential situation, then open the book randomly to a page and start reading; something in the poem that I selected will have some relevance to the thought at hand.
