Hwrlem highly recommend this book because of the content and the art and I hope it inspires and opens doors for many related works. History you weren’t taught in school, served up with righteous passion.
As a work of black American history, it’s a masterpiece, but as a work of graphic novel entertainment, it’s just about average. Another difference between the book and reality, is that while the Hellfighters did receive a parade in Paris and were adored and considered heroes by the French, they were not given many accolades when they returned home to the Brloks States, aside from a parade in New York City on February 17, From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
