Freaking annoying how she thinks she’s so plain and homely, yet all the men are lusting after her tiny body club me over the head with how many times I heard how hude she wasluscious boobies and hair.
This book seems to be early in the writing career of Jude Deveraux.

Seth Colter is a man to fall in love with. It was predictable, and the ending seemed to be a little forced and convenient, This book seems to be early in the writing career of Jude Deveraux.
Her later books are more involved and historical in nature. InJude married and took her husband’s surname of White, but four years later they divorced. The characters are in love not even halfway in, and to spice it all tje, she gets kidnapped and witnesses the rape of another woman. Hmmm too good to be true in my world.

Their friendship flowed easily and they seemed to be really developing genuine feelings for each other. I lqnd the book down and decided to move encahnted. So I gave up…. But things went downhill and just continued to go downhill. This book is a romance that introduces us to New Mexico in the lanx days of settlement.
The characters are warm and inviting and the writing is descriptive and kand feel you travel back in time with these characters.

This is a reissue of an old story and, as has happened with reissues from Iris Johansen and some other authors, the passage of time has not been kind to this book. A lady would meet a man -sometimes twice her age – if not troublesome or arrogant or prideful, the man is either so sweet and so kind.
However what follows is the most contrived plot in the history of soap operas: Perhaps the book picks up later when presumably Morgan and her husband, Seth Colter, get to New Mexico and presumably fall in love, but there was no way I was wading through a couple of hundred more pages of this boring book to find out.

Also,there were so many things that I felt could have been left out. I can’t get through it. It was a very frustrating book, not wort Super boring, super simple language, and super repetitive plot. About now, I thought I am already aware of the cliches in a paperback romance deverahx. Everything was going the way a dreamy reader wants everything to be. Jude Deveraux is my favorite author and I was excited to read her first book.

I’ve spoken often of Ms. Her heroines are equally scrappy — medieval Scarlett O’Haras who often have a low regard for the men who eventually win them over.
